Content: In this contemporary suspense crime thriller “Gabriel’s World” reflects three people: New York City private investigator Gabriel Ross, Raymond Booth—whose death Gabriel is trying to prove is murder, and Ethan, the erudite killer who is stalking Gabriel.

Overview: Gabriel is a gay private detective in his early thirties, haunted from the effects of long term childhood abuse and parental insanity. Gabriel’s intellectualism and emotive compassion is at odds with a profession of brutal skill, and his inherent ethics are constantly tested by amoral challenges. Toni Booth hires Gabriel to find her missing lawyer brother—who was himself planning to hire Gabriel to investigate strange happenings in a foundation Raymond served as a board member. Gabriel finds Raymond, but he’s dead in what’s an apparent suicide. Gabriel is sure that Raymond was murdered, and Toni now wants him to prove it.

In the course of researching Raymond’s life, Gabriel begins to uncover the tracks of Ethan Nelson, director of the Foundation. Ethan knows the secrets Raymond was after, and is willing to kill to protect a powerful international group. He begins stalking Gabriel as Gabriel continues his investigation. Gabriel is assisted by a new love interest, journalist Alex Barclay, who is also investigating Raymond’s death. Gabriel’s zeal for his work, and concurrent pain in dealing with his abusive father, stretches his abilities and mental stability to the limit as he pushes himself to solve both cases without losing his license, freedom, or life.
